Charm-flavored

I'm sorry I've been away. I was on a strange metaphysical journey deep into the very core of my inner being. I found myself in a place where the illusions of the material world were cast aside, and I was left naked before the inescapable truth of the universe. My journey brought me to a world where the inter-connectedness of all matter, energy and thought was made clear to me, and my supraconsciousness was unleashed to wander amongst worlds and philosophies the likes of which man has never dreamt of. Also, there was a brief layover in Denver.

I saw an account today at work of a Minnesotan with one of those quasi-Norweigian names they've got up there, the kind with a Norse god's name in there somewhere and a -sen on the end. Anyway, said Viking lived on a street called (I am not making this up) Lutefisk Lane. I thought, that would be like if I lived on Matzo Ball Blvd., or if a black dude lived on Collard Green Ave.

I bought Rachel a GPS receiver for her birthday (what, you didn't get her anything?). We've been peripheral admirers of the geocaching hobby for awhile, reading about others' exploits. We've both tried finding caches on our own twice now, and we can't find dick. This damn hobby better start getting fun soon.

Jake and I continue to soldier on with our double-secret video project. I might be posting requests here and elsewhere for some production help. In the meantime, if anyone has a greenscreen they'd like to temporarily donate to the cause, your name will be immortalized in credit form. I've been researching ways to do one ourselves but them things is expensive. Email me for details.

On a final note, I'd just like to give a shout-out to one of this site's patron saints, James Randi, founder of the James Randi Educational Foundation. I've been an admirer of him and his foundation's efforts to debunk bogus psychic claims, going after predatory "regression therapists", and generally working to ensmarten the populace for a long time.
