Shame Spiral

Just some human misery I've been wallowing in lately, that I like to call the news:

I found a website today for the Canadian Citizens Against the Death Penalty. On it, it has snail mail addresses and profiles on death row inmates looking for pen pals. That's right, even the scum of the earth love getting mail! I had this French girl as a pen pal when I was in junior high and I got ONE FRIGGIN' LETTER from her. And I've never murdered anyone (to my knowledge)! But Charles Ng, who kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered upwards of 25 innocent people, gets to make new friends on the internet while I can't even get a dozen people to come to my parties. Maybe if I just start murdering friends instead of inviting them...

It's being reported that Jeff Weise, the teenager in Minnesota who shot his family and schoolmates before killing himself, was a Native American neo-Nazi. Suicide shows real commitment to the cause of racial purity, I guess.

Ten protesters were arrested today in Florida for trying to force their way into Terri Schiavo's hospice so they could give her water. Now, I'm not a doctor, and I can't say I've even played one on TV, but I was under the impression that she was on a feeding tube because she couldn't eat or drink due to a loss of motor control. So wouldn't a glass of water have, I don't know, drowned her?

Jurors in the Michael Jackson case today got to review stacks of porn (all hetero and legal, apparently) that his accuser alleges he was forced to look at. My God, that fiend! Making teenage boys look at porn? Why, I bet that MONSTER made them eat ice cream and play video games too! When he's cleared of this (you know it'll happen - even OJ walked, and he never wrote Thriller), he should change his title from "King of Pop" to "Best Babysitter Ever".
